Mr. Deal is an Associate Partner at The Townsend Group in Cleveland. As an Associate Partner, Jeff has helped lead investment strategy implementation and portfolio management for several open-end and closed-end real estate programs totaling approximately $2 billion of investor capital. Jeff’s role includes portfolio modeling and analytics, market research, due diligence, and initiation of portfolio recommendations to Townsend’s Investment Committee. Mr. Deal also helps lead investment sourcing and underwriting responsibilities for U.S. core and core-plus investments. In this role he is responsible for coverage of the open-ended funds universe, providing portfolio construction, investment research, due diligence, and new fund underwriting. Mr. Deal has acted as lead underwriter for new open-end fund investments totaling over $3 billion of investor capital across Townsend’s global client base.

Prior to joining The Townsend Group in 2012, Mr. Deal worked for the Compass Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, a high-net-worth wealth management firm in Pepper Pike, Ohio. His primary responsibilities included providing investment and product analysis, comprehensive market research, and client service to a multitude of individuals and institutions.

Mr. Deal is a CFA® charterholder and received his BSBA in Finance from John Carroll University’s Boler School of Business.
