Iftikhar is a Partner in the Toronto office and leads global infrastructure research, monitoring, and related consulting function. He advises public and corporate pension plans, university endowments, and other institutional investors on infrastructure strategy and planning, portfolio design and construction, and investment selection as well as performance monitoring and reporting of funds and co-investments in clients’ portfolios.

Prior to joining Aon in 2016, Iftikhar led an in-house investment team at a large investment holding company where he was responsible for asset allocation, manager selection, and transaction due diligence. Previously, he held senior positions in investment banking where he executed a variety of debt and equity transactions in power, renewable, transportation, healthcare, and social infrastructure sectors.

Mr. Ahmed is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), received an MBA in Accounting and Finance, Master in Public Policy, Administration and Law, and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
