Charlie serves as an Assistant General Counsel and is responsible for legal oversight of The Townsend Group.

Prior to joining The Townsend Group in 2019, Charlie was the Deputy General Counsel of StepStone Group Real Estate, LP, a registered investment adviser which acquired a Cleveland-based investment manager in 2018, where Charlie had served as general counsel for ten years.

Prior to returning to his home in Cleveland, Ohio, Charlie was an associate at Linklaters based in Central and Eastern Europe, having also served as general counsel to an IFC and Creditanstalt of Austria sponsored private equity fund that provided seed capital to telecom operating companies across Central Europe.

Charlie received a JD from Case Western Reserve Law School and a BA in Economics from Wittenberg University.
